Payment Methods
We accept payments via Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and PayPal. Please allow 3-5 business days for your order to be processed and payment approved.

Sales Tax
Sales tax of 9.75% is charged on orders shipped within Illinois.

Receiving Your Order
While we try to keep a variety of designs in stock, please be aware that most of the items available on the website are Made to Order. This means that we do not cut or sew a garment until it has been purchased. Therefore, you are ordering something that is being made especially for you. Since each Elise Bergman piece is carefully hand constructed - please allow approximately 4 weeks for your made to order items to ship from our Chicago studio.

Occasionally, our One of a Kind and Limited Edition pieces are In Stock and will ship as soon as your order has been processed. If you come across a one of a kind piece that you love but it is sold out, please Contact Us about the possibility of Custom Ordering something similar.

shipping and handling

Domestic Shipping
All orders placed in the United States will be shipped fully insured via FedEx or UPS Ground. We charge a flat fee for shipping on all orders that is broken down as follows:

$0 to $450 order = $15 shipping fee
$451 and up = $21 shipping fee

When your shipment leaves our studio depends on whether your purchase was In Stock, Made to Order, or Pre-Order. Please refer to the item description and "Recieving Your Order" (above) for an idea of when to expect your order. Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email update with a tracking number. FedEx Ground packages take about 3-5 business days to arrive at their destination. We do not currently ship to P.O. Boxes. Please Contact Us with any special shipping requests.

International Shipping
We charge a flat fee of $50 for shipping and handling on all international orders. Packages are shipped via USPS Global Express. You will be notified via email when your shipment has left our studio, which depends on whether your purchase was In Stock, Made to Order, or Pre-Order. Shipping time varies depending on the country to which the package is being shipped, but usually arrive within 7 to 10 days.

Additional customs duties and import taxes may apply once the package reaches your country. This is the sole responsibility of the buyer and shop.elisebergman.com is not responsible for estimating or paying for any of these fees. If you refuse any shipments, you are responsible for any shipping charges, taxes, and/or customs charges incurred on the package. This amount will be subtracted from your merchandise credit.

returns and exchanges

We pride ourselves on the highest quality handmade products and customer satisfaction. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we will gladly accept a return or exchange within 14 days of the receipt of your purchase.

In order to return or exchange your purchase you must Contact Us and tell us the item you wish to return or exchange and the reason for your request. Upon approving your request we will email your our shipping address and a Return Authorization Number. We cannot be responsible for items we did not ship, so please mail your return in a prepaid, insured, and trackable package.

Please allow 7-10 business days from the date we receive your return for your return to be processed. Refunds will be credited in the same form as the original payment type. Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable.

Sale items and merchandise that has been worn, washed, altered, or damaged are not be eligible for a refund or exchange. We reserve the right to refuse returns if they do not meet our specified requirements.

gift certificates and discounts

Purchasing Gift Certificates
Having a hard time deciding on just the right color or style for your fashionable friend? Let her decide! We currently offer gift certificates in $50 increments from $50-$500. The gift certificate will be sent to you free of charge. If you'd like the gift sent directly to the recipient, just enter his or her information into the Shipping Address section during Step 1 of the checkout process. If you would like to purchase a gift certificate in a different amount, Contact Us and we will gladly customize your order.

Redeeming Gift Certificates
Gift Certificates are redeemable online, by phone, or in person and they never expire! Each gift certificate is assigned a unique number that can me entered in the "Gift Certificate" field during Step 2 of the checkout process. This will deduct the full amount of the gift certificate from your order total. If your gift certificate is more than the total purchase, the total purchase amount will be deducted from your gift certificate, and you will be able to use the remaining amount for future purchases.

Discounts
Occasionally we offer online Coupons, Sales, or Discounts. If you would like to stay up to date about these special offers, please join our mailing list. If you have recieved a Code for a Discount or Sale, it can be entered into the "Coupon" field during Step 2 of the checkout process.

We ask only for information necessary for us to complete your order and communicate with you.
